Meet Star!

Star is an approximately 3-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix who has already spent a good portion of her young life being a mom-and now she's waiting for someone to make her a priority.

Star came to us from Hills n Hollers Rescue, and as we understand it, she was originally found as a stray. So unfortunately, there isn't much we know about her past or where she came from. We do know that she raised puppies, and one by one, her babies found their forever homes.

But Star was left behind.

Star is a very timid girl, and the shelter environment can be a lot for her. She'll need a patient person who understands that trust doesn't happen overnight. But underneath that timid exterior is a very sweet dog who simply seems to be missing the human connection she's been waiting for.

She's also good with both dogs and cats, so she has the potential to fit nicely into a home with other four-legged friends.

It's hard not to feel like this sweet girl has simply been forgotten. She did her job as a mom, her puppies got their families, and somehow Star's own happily-ever-after never came.

Her babies found their forever homes. Now Star deserves someone willing to be patient, earn her trust, and show her that she hasn't been forgotten.
