Ruby - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Woolwich, Maine

Ruby came into rescue as a pregnant mama from a shelter in AL. She has since had her babies and is now learning how to be a true member of a family. We don't know her backstory prior to being in the shelter but she and her sister, who she was rescued with, were very shy and it appeared that they hadn't been properly socialized or lived in a home. Ruby is a mixed breed- some sort of scruffy terrier- who is on the smaller side of medium at only 30 lbs and an estimated 1-2 years old. She is a very sweet dog and is good with other dogs and does fine with the cats in her foster home. She is shy about being leashed, which is something that her foster mom is working with her on. Because of this, she would prefer a home with a physically fenced in yard. She will potty outside with a reliable schedule- she doesn't yet know how to ask to go outside- but given a consistent routine and ample opportunity, she will do her business outside. She is here in Maine, in foster, and available for meet and greets with approved adopters.
