Meadow - Husky Dog for Adoption in Springfield, Missouri

Step right up, because I have a few circus tricks up my sleeve - including my very own "spring chicken" act where I jump straight up in the air and land perfectly on all four paws! I'm Meadow, a 4 year-old, 41 pound sweetheart who may not know how to walk a tightrope, but I sure know how to steal hearts. I'm one of the sweetest, most lovable, loyal girls you'll ever meet. I'm good with other dogs and older kids, and I'm working on my house and leash skills. I don't need to be crated, either! When you gently pet me on the head, I turn my face up toward you, and you can just see the pure joy in my eyes when I realize someone is loving me. My favorite thing in the world may be my ball....and yes it's another circus trick.


I had a rough beginning as an Amish breeder dog. I do have seizures, but thankfully they are well controlled with medication. I do sometimes have potty accidents at night, which I believe may be related to my seizure medication because it makes me need to go to the bathroom more regularly. The good news is that I've never had an accident during the day. I'm also a higher-anxiety girl, so I would do best in a quieter home without lots of visitors coming and going. I'm perfectly happy to have a few people over once in a while, but regular large crowds can be overwhelming for me. I really thrive when life is calm, predictable and filled with people I trust. I'm ready for the kind of life where I get to be someone's beloved companion instead of just another dog. I may have spent part of my life knowing very little love, but I have so much love to give in return. My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
