Meet CJ!

Sometimes the best surprises come with four paws and a whole lot of fluff.

CJ was born June 20, 2026, after his Goldendoodle mama had a little unexpected romance with a handsome German Shepherd who happened to be visiting while his owners were away. And voila... one very adorable litter of Goldendoodle/German Shepherd puppies entered the world.

CJ is a happy, healthy, playful little guy who is busy doing all the important puppy things: exploring everything, playing with his littermates, soaking up attention, and perfecting the art of falling asleep wherever his adventures happen to end.

With a Goldendoodle mom and German Shepherd dad, CJ has some seriously smart genes behind that cute face. Both breeds are known for being intelligent, active, people-oriented dogs, so his future family should be prepared for a pup who will need training, socialization, daily exercise, and plenty of mental stimulation as he grows.

CJ is expected to be a large dog when fully grown, and his ideal home would be with an active family with plenty of room to play and explore. A large, securely fenced yard would give him a wonderful outlet for all that growing-puppy energy.

His vaccinations are starting this week, and he's ready to begin learning everything he'll need to know about becoming the very best grown-up dog.

CJ didn't exactly arrive according to plan, but we're pretty sure some of life's best stories don't.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
