Meet Koa — The Bright Eyed Pup Hoping for His Forever Family
Koa is one of our beautiful “K” litter pups — nine little ones who were dumped alongside their devoted mum, Nova, and thankfully rescued by SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta. His mum Nova is about 45 lbs, a mixed breed who looks shepherd heeler, and Koa is growing into his own handsome look with plenty of charm and curiosity.

Koa has enjoyed time with volunteers, enrichment, and pool days — he’s a gentle, observant pup who is ready to learn about the world with the help of a loving family.

A Puppy Ready to Blossom
Shelter life means Koa hasn’t seen much of the world yet, but volunteers work hard to give him new experiences. He’s playful, affectionate, and eager to grow in confidence. Koa would likely enjoy a yard to play and sunbathe, and maybe even another friendly dog to show him the ropes. He’s looking for a family keen to help a young pup thrive
Koa and his siblings also practise visiting with cats so he can be ready for family members that might even include felines.

Koa and his siblings have flight options for BC and Alberta opening up.
He is available for foster, foster to adopt, and adoption — but most of all, Koa is hoping for a forever home where he can grow, learn, and finally feel safe and loved.
