Meet Simba — The Most Affectionate Pup of His Family
Simba was born in March 2026 and started life on the streets with his young mum, Sisi. A kind stranger stepped in and got the little family safely into the SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta, where Simba has been growing up.
Simba has earned the badge of “most affectionate” in his family — he leans in for cuddles, looks deeply and curiously into the eyes of the people he meets, and has a gentle, soulful way of connecting.

His mum, Sisi, is a Chihuahua cross, and while Simba and his siblings will be bigger than her, they’re estimated to be 35–40 lbs full grown. Simba looks to have a bit of shepherd mixed into his super mix breed, giving him a wonderful blend of intelligence, sweetness, and charm.

A Playful, Medium Energy Pup Ready to Blossom
Simba has spent most of his early life in shelter, where he enjoys playtime in the yard with other dogs. He’s medium energy — playful, social, and happy to explore, but also affectionate and calm when it’s time to lean in for love.
He also practises visiting with cats so he can be ready for the loving home he deserves, especially if that home includes feline friends.

Healthy, Happy, and Ready for His Forever Home
Simba is healthy, social, and full of heart. He’s ready to grow into a confident, loving companion with a family who will cherish him. We think he might enjoy a yard to play and sunbathe, and maybe even another dog friend to show him the big new world.

He has flight options opening for BC and Alberta, and is available for foster, foster to adopt, and adoption — but most of all, Simba is hoping for a forever home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and understood.
