Meet Snickers!

Snickers is a stunning 1 year old Standard Poodle weighing around 65 pounds. This handsome boy has the most gorgeous chocolate merle coat and markings that are guaranteed to turn heads. But as beautiful as he is on the outside, his personality might be even better. Snickers is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, intelligent boy who loves attention and wants nothing more than to please his people.

Snickers came to rescue alongside his brother, River. The boys were purchased as puppies, but unfortunately their family wasn’t prepared for the ongoing grooming needs and expense that come along with Standard Poodles and ultimately surrendered them both. They were very loved and clearly had a good upbringing. While Snickers and River enjoy playing together, they are not bonded and do not need to be adopted together.

Snickers is house trained, does wonderfully in the home, and is a very good boy about going potty outside. He loves playing and running around with other dogs and has done great with all of the dogs he’s met. He’s also fantastic in the car and loves going for rides. Snickers is incredibly smart, very food motivated, eager to please, and loves getting all the pets and affection you’ll give him.

Snickers did require a significant groom when he arrived in rescue and is now getting back into a healthy grooming routine. His future family will need to understand that regular professional grooming is an important lifelong commitment with this breed. Snickers is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will have his health certificate prior to adoption. If you’re looking for a smart, playful, affectionate companion who is as wonderful as he is stunning, Snickers might just be your boy.
