Meet Leo! This sweet, affectionate, chill little guy is moderate energy and very people-oriented, though he's just as content quietly chilling on his own when needed. He's adjusting well to apartment life, curious about the people, dogs, and neighborhood around him — he even handled an outdoor brunch like an absolute champ, calmly people-watching the whole time. He approaches people and small-to-medium dogs with easy curiosity (bigger dogs make him a little shy, though he's never reactive, just prefers to hide behind his people), and he was notably gentle and sweet when a young girl approached to pet him.

Leo is potty trained and seems to be settling into crate training nicely — he sleeps quietly through the night with a little treat incentive to get him in, and sometimes naps in there during the day with the door left open. His leash walking is pretty solid. His days so far have been full of walks, park time, movie-watching on the couch, and even a brunch outing — he doesn't need much exercise but is spry and enthusiastic on walks. He'd likely do best in a moderate-to-calm household, though he doesn't seem bothered by loud sounds, so an active home could work too. His foster describes him as a quiet little shadow who loves following his people around the apartment and asking for belly rubs — Leo would make a wonderful low-key cuddle buddy for someone looking for a mellow, affectionate companion rather than a high-energy puppy.
