Meet Miley! This cuddly, relaxed girl arrived from the shelter understandably a little timid, but in just a few days she's already coming out of her shell and doing great navigating the streets of NYC. She's low energy, deeply people-oriented, and gets genuinely happy and excited around her humans. She's been wonderful with other dogs, including her foster's own dog and most pups she meets on the street.
Miley is crate trained and walks well on leash without pulling or reacting to people or other dogs. She's currently learning sit and responds well to treats, being quite food-motivated. Her days are built around long walks at least twice a day, plenty of cuddles, and lots of restful sleep — she hasn't quite figured out toys yet, but she doesn't need them to be content. She's shown herself to be remarkably well-behaved for a young dog: no chewing, no getting into things, just happy to hang out by your side. She's also completely fine being left on her own.
Miley would do well as an only dog or with a companion, fits apartment living nicely, and seems adaptable to most household paces. Her foster describes her as an incredibly affectionate, gentle snuggle bug who's easy to have around — right down to the adorable habit of her tongue poking out just slightly when she falls into a deep sleep. Miley is ready to be someone's sweet, devoted companion.
