Meet Missy! This tender, baby-faced expert lounger is a lovely balance of affectionate and independent — she'll cozy up near you and wag her tail in acknowledgment, but she's just as content relaxing solo in her own space. She approaches new situations with a healthy mix of caution and curiosity, never overly bold or fearful. She's sweet and mellow with people of all kinds, polite and curious with other dogs (always in for a gentle sniff), and likely cat-friendly, though untested. She's shown no signs of separation anxiety and settles in easily whether alone or with guests around.

Missy's crate trained, has excellent leash manners, and knows sit, stay. Her days are refreshingly simple: a morning walk she genuinely loves, followed by a leisurely rotation between various favorite beds around the house. She's not particularly interested in toys or fetch, but a brisk walk and a cozy spot to relax are really all she needs. Missy would do best in a calm, apartment-friendly home, ideally with someone (perhaps an older adopter) leading a low-to-moderately active lifestyle who wants a devoted companion to bring along everywhere. Her foster describes her as a dainty little lady with a deer-like face and huge, sweet eyes — an endlessly calming presence who just wants to give and receive as much affection as possible.
