Kitten
1 year, 8lbs
Rescued in the Southwest, surrendered by her owner through no fault of her own
Meet Kitten (aka Kitty or Puppy)! This curious, tiny one year old, 8lb girl is high energy but knows how to wind down once she's cozied up at home. She's thoroughly people-oriented — possibly even preferring humans over other dogs — and settles into new situations easily, greeting new people with plenty of enthusiastic sniffing. She's timid at first with other dogs, often retreating between your legs for safety, but her curiosity keeps pulling her back for another look. She's happy when guests visit, handles alone time well with no noise complaints, and gets wonderfully jumpy and joyful whenever her person returns.
Kitten is pee-pad trained and she always comes right back when called. She also knows sit and come. She's not especially toy-motivated (unless you're waving it enticingly in her face, which turns her into an instant tug-of-war fan), and she's more cuddle-motivated than food-motivated, always happiest tucked into someone's arms or lap. Her foster calls her the cuddliest dog she's ever cared for — quick to attach, always nearby, and easily trained thanks to how attentively she listens. Kitten is ready to be someone's devoted shadow and full-time snuggle buddy.
