Lolitai years, 11lbs
Rescued in the Southwest
Meet Lolita (aka Lo)! This loving, curious, happy girl is low-to-moderate energy and happiest when she's with her person. She's genuinely curious and friendly with new people, and while she's adjusting well to big-city living, sudden loud noises like trucks or motorcycles can still catch her off guard now and then. She's comfortable saying hi to other small dogs on walks (and a recent playdate with a dachshund was a big hit). While boisterous large dogs can occasionally surprise her, she's happy to interact if they're on the calmer side. She's friendly with guests, patient when left alone, and always thrilled when her people come home.
Lolita is potty trained, walks great on a leash, and though her foster isn't sure about her crate training or command knowledge, she's clearly an easygoing, adaptable girl. Her days are relaxed — a morning walk (though she's just as happy sleeping in), breakfast, lounging, a midday potty break, and an evening walk before dinner. She's not particularly toy-driven, oddly preferring an old sock to anything squeaky. Lolita would do well as an only dog or with a companion, is a great fit for apartment living, and would thrive in a calm-to-moderate household with an adopter who can take her out a few times a day. Her foster describes her as a lovable, quiet girl (she doesn't bark at all!) who loves showing off her silly side once she's comfortable, and who's completely content just snuggling up and hanging out — the perfect affectionate companion for someone looking for a calm, devoted friend.
**Lolita previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before she left the South
