Meet Daisy Dandy, a 1-2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, weighing approx. 55-60 pounds (as of 5/13/26). Daisy is a beautiful gal who was found as a stray in Mississippi. She can't wait to find her fur-ever home with you. Bonus points if you have treats!
Daisy is a playful girl with the coolest two-colored eyes. If you look closely into her blue eye, you'll discover the secrets of the universe! If you look into her brown eye, you'll get the ability to read people's minds! Choose wisely! When she's not playing to her heart's content with other dogs, Daisy likes to lazy around the house or stare at herself in the mirror. She's cute and she knows it! Daisy loves her people and will give you tons of snuggles after a long day of work or school. She's been exposed to cats and while she doesn't have experience with kids yet, she's looking forward to meeting them! Maybe she'll even read their minds too!
While Daisy has experience being crated, she'll need patience as she learns to walk on a leash. As long as she’s taken out regularly, she won’t have accidents.
Make your day a little more dandy and bring Daisy home today!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
