Mango Tropical - Hound and Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Andover, Massachusetts

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Mango Tropical, a 10-week-old Hound / Lab mix, weighing 16 pounds (as of 7/1/26). Even though the TROPICAL litter were surrendered by owners in Tennessee, they see the sunny side of things and plan to bring some much needed vacation vibes to your everyday life!

Mango is a happy, lovable puppy who believes life is best enjoyed right beside his favorite humans on a hammock next to a beach. And it is! He's a big cuddle bug with a calm, affectionate personality and a warm, marshmallow-soft coat that's impossible to resist. Mango is ready to fill his forever home with unconditional love, plenty of puppy snuggles and lots of yummy fruit smoothies. You're welcome.

The Tropical litter are fun-loving pups who'll make everyday feel like you're on an island sipping from coconut! They enjoy playing with other dogs and would do great with kids and strangers. They haven't met cats yet, but feline friends are welcome to join the sunny island life. Since they're still puppies, they'll need help with house-training, leashes, commands and crates (which they've only used for travel). They know training is a lot to ask, so they're gifting you a free, all-expense paid cruise to any island of your choosing. But hurry! The fine print says it expires tomorrow!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
