Meet Victor! This 3-year-old, 8-pound guy is best described as a devoted best friend — low energy, deeply people-oriented, and endearingly sweet even when he's a little nervous. He bonds quickly and fully with his person, though he's more hesitant with new people and tends to shy away from other dogs rather than engage. Victor is a true velcro dog: he'll follow you around the house, watch your every move, and the second you sit down, he's snuggled right up beside you asking for belly rubs (and more, the moment you stop). On walks, he happily trots alongside his person, giving a little leg boop with his nose every so often just to check in.

Victor is potty trained and very good on leash, though he's still settling into the crate and hasn't yet discovered the joy of toys — a game where treats are hidden in a rolled-up towel has been a hit, though, so he clearly loves a good sniffing challenge. He's sensitive by nature and responds best to gentle, positive reinforcement rather than any kind of correction, so patience and encouragement go a long way with him. Victor would do best in a calm, apartment-friendly home with someone who's around often and ready to shower him with attention — he'd be wonderful as an only dog soaking up all that devotion, though a confident canine companion could also help him build his confidence around play. With his endearing, slightly worried little face and his fast, deep bond with his people, Victor is ready to give his whole heart to someone patient enough to earn his trust.
