Meet Baloo!
Like his namesake from The Jungle Book, Baloo is a happy-go-lucky little "care-free bear" whose greatest concerns in life are playing hard, napping well, and making sure his belly is full.
Baloo's life didn't begin this way. He was born to Mama Bear, a young Belgian Malinois/Black Mouth Cur mix who was forced to raise her puppies outdoors on a rural Louisiana property with little food and no veterinary care. By the time Take Paws Rescue was able to bring the family to safety, Mama Bear was desperately trying to care for her babies while battling severe illness herself. Thanks to her incredible devotion and the care of the rescue, Baloo and his siblings got the second chance they deserved.
Today, Baloo has blossomed into a fluffy little black cub with a personality as lovable as his teddy bear appearance. He loves wrestling with his siblings, collecting toys, and romping around until he's completely worn out. When playtime is over, Baloo has an adorable habit of wandering off to a quiet little corner where he can curl up and snooze away from all the excitement.
Although Baloo's coat appears mostly jet black, a soft trail of rich chestnut brown runs from the crown of his head down his back, hinting that his handsome coloring may become even more striking as he grows.
True to the famous Disney bear, Baloo isn't fussy or demanding. As long as his "bear necessities" are met-a loving family, a comfy place to nap, fun toys to play with, and plenty of affection-he is perfectly content. He's an easygoing, joyful puppy who finds happiness in the simple things.
After such a difficult beginning, Baloo is ready to leave survival behind and spend the rest of his life doing what puppies do best: loving his family, making memories, and filling a home with laughter.
Could your family be the one to give this little bear the happily-ever-after he deserves?
