Mickey's story is one of second chances. He was found in a Texas shelter with an uncertain future until a kind-hearted woman stepped in and saved him. Now safe with Take Paws Rescue, he's ready to find a family of his own.
Mickey is a gentle, affectionate lovebug who just wants to be close to his person. He'll follow you from room to room, lean into you for comfort, and happily take all the cuddles you can give. He's the definition of a "shadow dog" and thrives on connection.
He is deaf, but that only makes his bond with his people stronger. Mickey learns through visual cues and routine, watching you closely and looking to you for guidance. He'll do best with a patient, loving home willing to communicate with him through hand signals (and snacks-he's very motivated ).
Despite everything he's been through, he is incredibly sweet, trusting, and ready to love with his whole heart.
If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly best friend... Mickey is waiting for you.

ABOUT: BEAGLE DOG BREED
The Beagle is a beloved breed known for its friendly nature, curious personality, and distinctive howl. These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets. Beagles are curious and energetic, always eager to follow a scent with their incredible sense of smell, making them excellent hunting and tracking dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain, and they are adaptable to various living environments, making them popular companions for families and individuals alike.
The English Bulldog is a distinctive and beloved breed known for its sturdy build, wrinkled face, and gentle temperament. Originating in England, these dogs are characterized by their muscular frame, powerful jaw, and unique pushed in nose. Due to their brachycephalic nature, they may struggle with overheating and breathing issues, requiring attentive care and moderate exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
