Meet Rex — one of twelve. Yes… twelve!

Rex is a 2 month old Malinois/Mastiff mix with a big personality packed into a growing body. He came into the world alongside eleven siblings in an area known for dog fighting, and from the very beginning, we knew we had to step in fast to make sure these pups had a chance at the lives they deserve. Today Rex is safe in a loving foster home, trading a tough start for belly rubs, playtime, and the promise of something better.

Rex is everything you’d expect from a young puppy—curious, bold, and always ready for his next adventure. His favorite activity? Wrestling matches with his brother, followed by the kind of deep, dramatic naps only a hard-playing puppy can achieve. He’s social, playful, and already showing that fun-loving spirit that will make him an incredible companion.

But Rex isn’t just any puppy—he’s a Malinois/Mastiff mix, which means he’s going to grow into a strong, intelligent, high-energy dog. He’ll need a home that understands what that means and is ready to commit to his training, structure, and enrichment. We’re looking for adopters who either have experience with working or guardian breeds, and/or who have a solid, thoughtful plan in place to meet his physical and mental needs as he grows. Rex isn’t a “wing it and hope for the best” kind of pup—he’s a “let’s build something amazing together” kind of dog.

He does well with other dogs and would likely do fine with cats given his young age and proper introductions. Because of his energy (and those sharp little puppy teeth), a home with older or dog-savvy kids would be the best fit.

Rex and his siblings will be neutered/spayed in mid-May and will be ready to head to their forever homes once they’ve healed. We are taking our time to find truly exceptional homes for these special pups—homes that will give them not just love, but guidance, stability, and purpose.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $475 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
