Pepper knows what it feels like to be truly loved — and she’s desperately hoping to find that again.

At just around 1.5 years old, Pepper already had the life every dog dreams of. She was adopted, adored, and deeply bonded with her person for an entire year. But sometimes life changes in heartbreaking ways, and through no fault of her own, Pepper lost the person she thought she’d have forever. And honestly? She’s pretty sad about it.

Pepper isn’t looking for a home where she’ll simply exist in the background. She’s looking for her person. A best friend. A sidekick. Someone who wants a dog that’s involved in their life — not just living in the same house.

She wants to ride shotgun on coffee runs, go for walks after dinner, tag along on hikes, supervise your daily routine, and curl up nearby at the end of the day like she belongs there… because to Pepper, that connection means everything.

Pepper has a fun, lively personality and enough enthusiasm to keep life interesting. She can absolutely make dog friends, though like many dogs, she clicks better with some personalities than others. She’d also do fine with older kids who understand and enjoy an energetic young dog.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $290 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped. Note: We cannot guarantee breed mix. It is an estimate based on observation and any known history.
