Wishbone is a beagle with two very distinct modes: snuggle every human he sees and dig like he’s trying to reach the Earth’s molten core. He loves greeting absolutely everyone, soaking up pets like it’s his fulltime job, and then blasting off into yard zoomies that could qualify him for competitive dog athletics. He has an estimated Birth Date of 03/01/26 and currently weighs 30lbs

He’s sweet, gentle, and ridiculously lovable, the kind of dog who leans in for affection and makes you feel like his favorite person. But he’s also a certified digger and a bit of an escape artist. If there’s a fence, he’ll politely acknowledge it... and then immediately begin planning his tunnel system.

If you’ve ever wanted a dog who’s equal parts cuddle buddy, comedian, and determined little explorer, Wishbone is ready to move in and make your life brighter.

**In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a $21 county license.
