Macey is a 10 year old chihuahua with a heart made entirely of sweetness. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just enjoy being close to her people, she lives for it. If you sit down, she’s in your lap. If you lie down, she’s curled against you. If you’d let her, she’d happily tuck herself under your shirt and snooze like the world’s tiniest, warmest pocket companion. She has an estimated Birth Date of 09/01/2015 and currently weighs 14lbs

She’s gentle, calm, and endlessly affectionate, the definition of a classic lap dog. Macey loves a soft bed, a plush stuffed animal, and a human who appreciates quiet companionship. She’s the kind of dog who makes a home feel softer just by being in it.

**In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a $21 county license.
