June Bug is the kind of dog who greets life like it’s her favorite person. Her whole body wiggles, wobbles, and shimmies the moment she sees a human, a dog, or honestly anything that looks like it might be fun. She’s sunshine in beagle form.

She’s a snuggler, a kiss giver, a tail wagger, and a “you’re my best friend now” enthusiast. Fully house trained, lovely on leash, and just an all around happy girl.

But June Bug also has a hobby, a passion, a calling...DIGGING! She loves to dig holes and roll around in anything that smells like it might be interesting. She's got personality in spades. She has an estimated Birth Date of 02/21/2023 and currently weighs 22lbs. She's great with other dogs, would probably do okay with cats given a slow introduction and would love kids!

June Bug is the perfect match for someone who loves a friendly, wiggly, affectionate dog with a dash of beagle mischief. She’ll brighten your days, warm your nights, and occasionally test your fence integrity, all with the sweetest smile.

**In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a $21 county license.
