Meet Custard, the golden boy of Mama Indy’s litter!
Custard looks completely different from his siblings, which makes us extra curious about what might be hiding in his DNA. While most of the litter has sleek coats and darker coloring, Custard is a beautiful golden blonde and even has a little bit of scruff coming through. Whatever his mix is, he is absolutely adorable.
Mama Indy is a small Beagle mix weighing around 14 pounds, and Dad is completely unknown. Based on Custard’s current size and his mama, we suspect he will remain a smaller dog, likely around 15 pounds full grown, but breed, coat and adult size are all our best guesses.
Custard was born in our care and has spent his first eight weeks growing up safely alongside his mama and siblings. He is a happy, playful, curious little boy who loves to explore, wrestle with the other puppies and be part of whatever is going on.
As adorable as Custard is, he is still a complete infant. He comes with absolutely no training and is not house trained, crate trained or leash trained. His future family needs to be prepared for the full puppy experience: potty accidents, puppy teeth, training, socialization, supervision and lots and lots of patience. Puppies are incredibly rewarding, but they are also a full-time job.
Because Custard is still completing his puppy vaccine series, he cannot safely be on public shared surfaces for approximately the next eight weeks. His adopter will need a safe space for potty training, play and appropriate socialization during this important developmental period.
We are looking for a family with a house, a securely fenced backyard and a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time to dedicate to raising a young puppy. Another friendly, well-socialized dog in the home would be ideal.
Custard may look like the odd man out in his litter, but we think that makes him even more special. If you’re ready for the commitment of raising a puppy and can’t resist a scruffy little golden mystery mutt, Custard may be your perfect match.
Adoption fee is 550
