Beautiful Star came to us from a local shelter where she arrived as a stray and was completely shut down and terrified. Shelter life was simply too much for her.

But the minute Star walked out of those shelter doors, we met an entirely different dog. She immediately showed us just how sweet, affectionate, and people-loving she really is. This girl wants your attention, your affection, and most importantly, a spot right next to you.

Star is likely around 2 years young and weighs just 14 pounds. We think she may be some sort of Jack Russell Terrier mix. Shes adorably scruffy without being overly wiry, with a long, low little body and the perfect size to take just about anywhere.

Unlike your stereotypical high-energy Jack Russell, Star has a wonderful balance. She enjoys going for walks and adventures and rides nicely in the car, but shes equally happy curling up beside you and being your snuggle partner.

She appears to be house trained, does well with dogs both big and small, and is even okay with cats. She could happily be your one-and-only spoiled companion or join a home with an existing pack.

Star has already shown us that the scared little dog we saw in the shelter wasnt who she really was. She just needed to feel safe.

Now she needs someone to give her that feeling forever.
