Meet Nyla Lynn — The 107Pound Tan Queen of Zoomies and Chaos
Hi, I’m Nyla Lynn, a 2-year-old Staffy, weighing in at a glorious, voluptuous 107 pounds of enthusiasm, opinions, and pure tan beauty. Yes, I’m a bigger girl. Yes, I’m working on it. And yes, I fully intend to become the best version of myself — preferably with a human who can help me do more than trot around on a lead.
Let’s be real:
My foster mom is an amputee and cannot take me for walks, so I’ve been living my life like a plus size supermodel — lounging, loving, and occasionally sprinting like a freight train when the zoomies hit. But I need an active home, a farm, or a fenced yard where I can run, burn energy, and finally become the athletic queen I know I can be.
My Personality (aka: Why You’ll Love Me)
I’m loving, energetic, and sweet — a total cuddle buddy.
I love being outside, love car rides, love belly rubs, and love being the center of attention.
I’m a people dog. If you’re in the room, I’m in the room. Personal space? Never heard of her.
I’m house and crate trained, and I know sit, stay, lay down, and crate.
I’m good with kids and good with dogs — but if another dog tries to step to me, I won’t back down.
I’ve lived with cats before. I chase them, but to my foster’s knowledge, I’ve never harmed one.
I have separation anxiety and do best with another dog around.
I steal treats if given the chance. I’m not sorry.
I love squeaky toys, bones, cow hooves with peanut butter, and giving kisses.
I do not like having my paws messed with, nails clipped, or ears cleaned.
I’ll get in the bathtub, and once I’m in, I actually enjoy the bath.
My History (the short version)
I’ve been through it.
Abusive first home.
“Rescued” by someone who repeated the same neglect.
Dumped on my foster, who is doing a great job of rewriting life for me in the best way possible.
Despite all that, I’m still a loving, energetic, smart girl who wants a home where she can thrive — not just survive.
My Health & Basics
Spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Yaay!
I am being fostered in Petersburg, VA but can be transported to other states for the right home. Please note, there may be a fee if volunteer transport cannot be found.
Ideal Home
Active
Fenced yard or farm
Someone who can walk me, run me, and help me lose weight
Someone who loves big, affectionate, slightly chaotic dogs
Preferably with another dog for companionship
If you’re looking for a big, beautiful, energetic sweetheart who’s ready to glow up with the right home, Nyla Lynn is your girl.
