Meet Vega — 70 Pounds of Brindle, Boxer, and Boundless Energy
Hi, I’m Vega, a 8-year-old, 70pound brindle and white boxer, and I’m here to find a human who can actually keep up with me. Yes, I’m eight. No, I’m not slowing down. I’m basically a caffeinated athlete trapped in a dog body.

I’m loving, smart, adventurous, and I have enough drive to power a small city. My foster mom says I’d be amazing at dog sports — and honestly, she’s right. I love to work, I love to run, I love to explore, and I love treats. If you have snacks, I suddenly become the most obedient dog you’ve ever met.

Let’s Talk Requirements (aka: Why You Need a Gym Membership)
I need a firm owner who will actually do things with me. Adventures, training, activities — all of it. I am not a couch potato. I don’t even know what a couch potato is. I assume it’s something that sits still, and that’s not me.

My Social Life
Dog selective — slow intros only. I’m not here for chaos.

Cats & small animals: Absolutely not. My prey drive says “no thank you.”

Kids: I do well with them, but because I’m large and energetic, I’m best with older kids who won’t get knocked over by my enthusiasm.

Behavior Notes (The GlowUp Edition)
Let’s clear the air:
I used to be crate reactive.
I used to have barrier frustration.
I used to pull like a freight train on leash.

But guess what?
I don’t do any of that anymore.

My foster says:

I am no longer crate reactive

I have no barrier aggression

I now have great leash skills

I walk at a perfect heel

I do not need a gentle leader

Basically, I’ve upgraded myself.

The Good Stuff
I’m neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready to go. I bond fast, I love hard, and I’m a snuggly, loyal, affectionate boy once my energy is out. I’m also pretty quiet — as long as you’ve met my exercise quota.

I’m being fostered in Hampton Roads, VA, but I can be transported out of state if you’re my person. Please note, a transport fee may apply if volunteer transport cannot be found.
