Hi, I’m Nikki—a 1-year-old professional Zoomie Athlete, part-time Toy Menace, and fulltime Drama Queen. I’m sweet, adorable, energetic, and just a tiny bit anxious... okay, a lot anxious. But in a cute way.
Let’s talk about my onboarding process, because yes, I require one.
My Acclimation Rules (aka “Nikki’s Terms & Conditions”)
I need to settle into my new home slowly. That means I need time to learn the layout, the smells, and the vibes.
Visitors can come over in the beginning—just don’t expect me to greet them like a Walmart greeter. I’ll need to hang out in another room, behind a baby gate, or wherever I can observe from a safe distance while I decide if these humans are acceptable.
Once I’m confident in the home, I can start meeting new people with slow, proper introductions. No rushing. No chaos. No “surprise, here’s my cousin visiting from out of town.” I’m delicate.
Now that we’ve covered my anxiety management plan, let’s talk about the fun stuff.
My Daily Routine (aka The Nikki Experience)
I wake up, go potty, then immediately go back to bed because beauty sleep is essential. Two hours later, I potty again, then it’s breakfast time. I eat politely next to the other foster dogs like the civilized lady I am.
Then?
Chaos. Pure chaos.
I go from zero to sixty in record speed and play nonstop until I collapse dramatically for a long nap—usually at my foster mom’s feet, because I’m clingy in the cutest way possible. I have three Beagles and a Jack Russell mix named Boo to play with, and we run the yard like a tiny dog mafia.
My Requirements (nonnegotiable)
A fenced yard so I can zoom like a caffeinated squirrel
Humans who understand anxiety and won’t rush me
Visitors allowed... but I’ll be in my own room, thanks
Slow introductions once I’m comfortable
Patience, structure, and a sense of humor
My Personality
I’m sweet, social (once I trust you), playful, silly, and full of life. I’m basically a walking serotonin boost with a side of “please don’t overwhelm me.”
My Medical & Training Info
I’m fully up to date on vaccines, including Lepto and Bordetella. I’m spayed, housebroken, and crate trained. I may fuss a little when crated, but I settle down quickly and wait patiently while you run errands.
I’m currently being fostered in Clemmons, NC, and I must be adopted within a one hour radius.
If you’re looking for a hilarious, high-energy, slightly anxious, extremely lovable girl who will entertain you daily AND judge your guests from the safety of her private suite, congratulations—you’ve found me.
