***Half Pint has shown in no uncertain terms, while in foster, that he is not onboard with sharing space, resources and people with another cat. Maybe he will change his mind as he grows older, but for now, Half Pint will be a solo adoption.

Half Pint is a handsome 10-month-old tuxedo cat who is always looking dapper in his classic black-and-white suit. This charming gentleman was found by a volunteer and has been enjoying the comforts of indoor life for over a month. Now, Half Pint is ready to find a loving forever home of his own.

Half Pint is a chatty boy who loves to chirp and greet his people with the cutest little meows. He enjoys spending his days gazing out the window and is happiest when he can be close to his humans, whether that's curled up beside them on the couch or simply relaxing nearby. While generally calm and easygoing, he does get the occasional burst of playful energy, especially in the evenings. He's an excellent toy chaser and can often be found batting around small toys. He also has a healthy appetite and especially enjoys his wet food, which is always a highlight of his day.

Half Pint is an affectionate cat who loves pets and rewards his people with plenty of happy purrs. While he enjoys attention, he is still learning to fully trust his surroundings. Loud noises can still make him nervous. He is also becoming more comfortable with being picked up and handled. When he is frightened, he may occasionally give a quick warning nip, but this behaviour has become much less frequent as he settles in and feels more secure. Because of this, he may not be the best fit for a home with young children.

Half Pint would prefer to be the only cat in the home, as he does not get along well with other kitties. He would thrive in a quieter household where his new family can provide the patience, reassurance, and love he needs to continue building his confidence.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
