Dash (bonded with Dart) - Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Vaughan, Ontario

***Dash and her sister Dart are very bonded and need to be adopted together.

Dash takes a little while to warm up to being touched. She may tuck herself under the couch for the first few days in a new home, and that's just how she does things — she likes to watch before she commits.

But here's the thing: even while she's still cautious about pets, she'll play with you. Wave a wand toy her way and the hesitation vanishes — she's all in, chasing and pouncing with everything she's got! Play is how Dash says hello, and it's the fastest way into her good graces. Food is the other shortcut to her heart. A treat offered at the right moment does a lot of the trust-building work.

Dash will do best in a patient home, one that understands trust is earned rather than rushed. She may not be the kitten who runs into your arms on day one, but once she decides you're her person, you'll see just how sweet she can be. Some patience, plenty of playtime, and a few good treats are all it takes to start winning her heart.

Dash is nicely complemented by sister Dart's more confident and outgoing outlooks, which allows her the space and time to check out the lay of the land and engage when she is feeling settled. The girls balance each other out beautifully, and you won't see a sweeter bond than the one between these two.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
