Victoria came into foster care as a scared, protective mama with EIGHT babies to care for. She wasn't quite sure humans could be trusted, so she stayed on high alert, preferring the safety of her small catio while she devoted herself to her babies.
But it didn't take long for Victoria to start showing us who she really is.
Within just five days, she began greeting us when we entered her foster room and getting excited when she knew food was coming. Soon came the slow blinks, and with each passing day, we watched her become more confident as she realized she was finally safe.
Before long, Victoria was asking to be petted, confidently exploring her room, and playing with toys. She's also quite the conversationalist! She makes the cutest little chirps and purrs when she's happy and isn't shy about letting you know when she'd like some affection.
Victoria may need an adopter who understands that trust can take a little time-but from what we've seen, it probably won't take her very long. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality quickly starts to shine.
After spending so much time being an amazing mama, Victoria deserves a loving home where she gets to be the one cared for.
Give her a little patience, love, and time, and we think you'll discover a loyal, playful, affectionate girl who will make a wonderful addition to your family.
Victoria has taken such good care of her babies. Now it's her turn to find her person.
Victoria is spayed, up-to-date with her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines and she is FIV and FeLV negative.
She is currently staying onsite at our Heartland Facility! Stop by during our open hours on Thursday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-7pm, Saturday Noon-6pm or Sunday Noon-6pm to meet her! No appointment necessary.
