This beautiful and petite 5.5 year-old girl from Alabama may come off as a bit of a wallflower to some, but we find this adorable short stack to be utterly captivating! She has a gentle and calm demeanor that doesn't scream for attention. (And did we mention she's calm?!)
She is just the sweetest girl who will firstly lean and then slowly melt into you. She is a perfect age for an adopter who likes walks, sure, but isn't looking to hike the Appalachian Trail with their dog! Marmalade is a perfect companion for a laid back stroll through the neighborhood, followed by some takeout and a movie. That is her vibe, and we are here for it!
Marmalade has a fun side, too, as you can see in her playgroup videos. She is also kennel roomies with Makenzie, who is quite a bit younger, and they cuddle and share toys and treats so nicely. Marmalade is quiet in her kennel and has never had an accident in there, either!
Marmalade has blossomed so much in the short time she has been with us, and there is more to come. We have even seen a physical transformation in the time we have had her. Upon arrival her coat was dry and patchy, and her skin was flaky and irritated. She has some pressure sores that dogs who have spent a lot of time laying on hard surfaces get. After a medicated bath, a few days on fish oil supplements, proper nutrition, and less stress she is a different-looking dog! Her coat is silky and shiny, she smiles, she wags her tail, and has some bounce in her step.
We love this girl so much, and how could we not? She's perfect. She may fly under the radar, but anyone who passes her over would be missing out on an incredibly loving and affectionate companion who will easily fit into your life.
If Marmalade sounds like your jam, please ask about her today!
Marmalade's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
