When someone walks into the room, Boo stands up on his back legs with his front paws on the bars and stays there until he knows whether you are coming over to say hello.
Boo is a male rabbit, about one year old, with a bright white coat, pink eyes, and long ears that rarely agree with each other. One usually stands straight up while the other tips out to the side.
He is friendly and playful, and he is curious about people rather than nervous around them. Boo would do well with someone who wants a pet that engages with them and is happy to come out and spend time with his people. A rabbit is also a quiet pet, so he can fit in an apartment or a smaller home where a dog might not.
A few honest things before you apply. Rabbits can live eight to twelve years, so Boo is a long commitment. He needs time out of his enclosure every day, and any space he roams should be bunny proofed, with cords and chewable things picked up. We cannot tell you how he would do with cats, dogs, or young children.
We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
