NOVA NEBULA: SOME VERY QUESTIONABLE ASTRONOMY

Nova Nebula is a 7-month-old, 37-pound Wirehaired Terrier/Beagle mix with the peculiar appearance of a dog who has recently returned from an expedition and will not be discussing the particulars.

Her name is cosmically ambitious. Nebulae are vast interstellar clouds where stars form; a nova is a stellar eruption of extraordinary brightness. Nova herself is considerably more terrestrial: dog friendly, wonderful with kids, house trained, spectacularly cuddly, and almost indecently sweet.

She has tremendous dark eyes, a wiry little beard, soft Beagle ears, and the solemn expression of someone contemplating matters well above her security clearance. Whatever she is thinking, it appears to end with climbing into your lap.

And affection is very much her field of study. Nova wants contact. Leaning, curling up, pressing her face against you, the whole tender business. She is seven months old, so some puppy foolishness remains inevitable, but she has already mastered house training and seems remarkably committed to becoming somebody's favorite creature.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
