Introducing Mama Posy!
Posy has spent the last several months taking care of everyone else, and now it's finally her turn to be spoiled!
Mama Posy will be heading to Pa on 10/31 (ahead of her puppies) and is looking for a foster or foster to adopt home. We do not currently have any available spots in our regular foster homes for this sweet mama, so we are asking our village to please share her post. Any questions regarding foster to adopt can be sent to mostlymuttz@gmail.com
When Posy arrived at the shelter, no one knew she was pregnant. Imagine the staff's surprise when they arrived one morning to find Posy lovingly caring for two tiny newborn puppies! We quickly moved this sweet mama out of the shelter and into a foster home where she and her babies could be safe and comfortable.
But Posy's motherly duties didn't stop there! When four orphaned puppies needed a mom, Posy welcomed them without hesitation. She lovingly fed, nurtured, and raised all six puppies as her own. Talk about a heart of gold!
Now that her babies are grown, Posy is officially retiring from motherhood and is ready to find a family who will shower her with all the love and attention she deserves!
Posy is an affectionate, sweet girl who gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. She firmly believes she is a lap dog, and who are we to tell her otherwise? She appears to be mostly house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is just an all-around lovely companion.
Now, we should mention that Posy has a bit of an adventurous streak! This clever girl has some impressive jumping skills and can clear gates and fences when something catches her attention. And by something, we mean the deer who have the audacity to wander past her foster mom's yard! While Posy has always returned home after her little adventures, her future family will need to be mindful of her escape-artist abilities and make sure she stays safely contained.
Posy has given so much love to her puppies, including four who weren't even her own. Now she's ready for the next chapter of her life, one filled with cozy couches, warm laps, plenty of affection, and a family to call her very own.
