Spirit - Yorkshire Terrier and Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Pottstown, Pennsylvania

Meet Spirit, a little Boo Crew cutie!

Spirit is a 9-pound sweetheart with a shy side and so much potential to blossom! He's part of our Boo Crew, an accidental litter whose mama was spayed after arriving at the shelter to prevent any more surprise puppies. His mom is a Beagle/Chi mix, and his dad is believed to be a Yorkie/Cheweenie mix.

Spirit is a sweet but shy little guy who will need a patient family willing to give him time to settle in and feel safe. New places, new people, and a whole new routine can be a lot for a little pup, so he'll benefit from a gentle approach and the freedom to build confidence at his own pace. With time, kindness, and a family who believes in him, Spirit will have the opportunity to discover just how wonderful life can be!

Foster-to-Adopt opportunity! Spirit will arrive in Pottstown, PA, on October 24 and can head directly into an approved Foster-to-Adopt home. Applications for this program will be accepted through October 19.

With Foster-to-Adopt, you welcome Spirit into your home and give him time to settle in and become part of your family before making the adoption official.

If Spirit sounds like the little guy you've been waiting for, use our adoption application to apply for Foster-to-Adopt by October 19!

If he doesn't have a Foster-to-Adopt home lined up, he'll head into a regular foster home and will be available to go home with his adoptive family on or after November 7, 2026.
