Meet Summer, a Four Seasons sweetheart!

Summer is one of four little girls who had a tough start to life but got the chance they deserved thanks to a foster who stepped up when they needed it most. She and her sisters arrived at the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association as newborns after their mom was hit by a car. A dedicated foster bottle-fed the tiny babies for their first three weeks, giving them the care they needed to grow.

Their mom was reportedly a Cattle Dog, and their dad is believed to be a Mastiff, so Summer may grow into a big girl!

Now Summer is ready to find a family of her own. Could this sweet girl be the perfect addition to yours?

Foster-to-Adopt opportunity: Applications are open through October 26. Summer will arrive in Pottstown, PA, on October 31, and approved Foster-to-Adopt families must be ready to pick her up that day. This program lets you welcome Summer home, help her settle in, and begin building a bond before making the adoption official.

If Summer doesn't have a Foster-to-Adopt home lined up, she'll go into a regular foster home and will be available to join an adoptive family on or after November 14, 2026.
