SHE JUST WANTS TO DANCE WITH SOMEBODY. AND CUDDLE WITH SOMEBODY. AND LOVE SOMEBODY FOREVER.
Yall, meet Whitney Houston.
She's an 8-month-old, 36-pound German Shepherd mix with a heart made of pure sugar, a personality sweeter than anything you'll find in a bakery, and enough love to fill an entire stadium.
And unlike her famous namesake, this Whitney isn't looking for fame, fortune, or a sold-out world tour.
She's just looking for somebody to love.
Her foster family affectionately calls her "Sugar" and "Sweetums," and once you spend five minutes with this girl, you'll understand exactly why.
Whitney is one of those dogs who genuinely believes that the best place in the entire world is right beside someone who loves her. She's gentle, affectionate, easygoing, and absolutely convinced that cuddling should be considered a full-time occupation.
And honestly? She's got the qualifications.
Give this girl a soft blanket, a comfortable couch, and a good episode of Bluey, and she's in heaven. She'll happily curl up beside you, settle in for the evening, and snooze away like she hasn't got a single responsibility in the world.
Which, to be fair, she doesn't.
But don't let all that sweetness fool you. Whitney has some MOVES.
This girl LOVES running and playing outside, and when she gets going, you'd better believe she's fast! She's playful, curious, and full of that wonderful puppy enthusiasm that makes even the simplest afternoon feel like an adventure.
She enjoys her daily walks, loves spending time outdoors, and is always happy to join in on some fun. But once she's gotten her exercise, she's perfectly content to trade her running shoes for a spot beside you on the couch.
Whitney believes in a balanced lifestyle.
A little cardio. A little television. A lot of cuddling.
She's also an absolute sweetheart with other dogs. Whitney loves her foster siblings and is the kind of girl who would happily spend an afternoon playing, wrestling, and making new four-legged friends. She's social, easygoing, and tends to let the other dogs call the shots.
She's not interested in being the boss. She's much more interested in being everybody's favourite.
Whitney would love a dog sibling, but she's also confident enough to be your one and only.
And when it comes to people? This girl LOVES everybody.
Adults, children, new friends, old friends. Whitney has never been particularly interested in making people work for her affection. She's friendly, outgoing, and always happy to meet someone new.
She's generally a quiet girl, too. She doesn't feel the need to provide a running commentary on everything happening around the house. Although, when something gets particularly exciting, she might have a little something to say.
Even superstars need to make an announcement occasionally.
And if you've got doggy bacon strips? Well, congratulations. You've just discovered the quickest way to Whitney's heart.
She's smart, eager to please, and very responsive to positive reinforcement. She's already fully potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is comfortable with handling. She hasn't had much crate training yet, so her future family will need to help her learn that particular skill.
As for cats, Whitney is curious but hasn't shown concerning predatory behaviour. She may need a little guidance learning to respect her feline friends' personal space, but she's responsive to redirection.
Whitney has a lovely moderate energy level and would fit beautifully into all kinds of homes. She'd make a wonderful companion for a first-time dog owner, a family with children, or someone simply looking for a sweet, affectionate best friend.
We can picture her in so many homes.
Running around the backyard with her dog friends. Joining her family on weekend adventures. Curling up under a blanket on rainy afternoons. Watching Bluey with the kids. Quietly keeping you company while you work, read, or do absolutely nothing.
And that's what makes Whitney so special.
She's not complicated. She's not demanding. She's just a genuinely lovely little soul who wants to be part of someone's life.
At only 8 months old, Whitney has an entire lifetime of love ahead of her. Adventures she hasn't had, places she hasn't explored, and a family she hasn't met yet.
Somebody is going to adopt this beautiful girl and discover that the greatest love of all sometimes comes with four paws, a wagging tail, and a very strong opinion about which blanket belongs on the couch.
And Whitney?
Well, she's just waiting for somebody to dance through life with.
Preferably somebody who shares their bacon strips.
Because even a superstar has standards, yall.

The Truth About Rescue:
Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.
Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.
Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
