Hi, I'm Skye!

I'm a sweet, gentle girl who loves a good balance of fun and relaxation. I enjoy playing chase with my dog friends and showing off my playful side, but I'm also a big fan of a peaceful afternoon lounging with my favorite people. I do best when life isn't too hectic, and my favorite times of day are breakfast and relaxing afterward!

I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give me a couple of minutes and I'll warm right up. Once I'm comfortable, my affectionate personality shines through! I'm a quiet girl, get along well with other dogs, and am already crate trained.

I'm still working on potty training and would love a family to help me learn leash walking and basic obedience. I'm eager to keep learning with a little patience, encouragement, and lots of love.

I haven't met any kids or cats yet, so we're still figuring out how I'd do with them. My ideal home would be one where I can enjoy playtime, make some furry friends, and then settle in for some well-deserved downtime.

Skye is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/6/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and 11:00am. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.
