Meeka *Arriving 11/6* D12944 - Chihuahua and Corgi Dog for Adoption

Meeka is a smart, playful, and affectionate girl who is ready to find her new home! She can easily coexist with other dogs but more so enjoys playing with dogs who match her energy level. She would do well with dog-savvy kids who understand the importance of giving her space and time to feel comfortable.
Meeka is crate-trained and eager to learn, though she'll need some basic training to help her become the best companion she can be. She may take a few minutes to warm up to new people, but with patience, kindness, and time to build trust, her sweet personality comes right out!
Meeka was found wandering the streets of Texas alongside her companion, Meesha, and now she's hoping for a safe, loving home of her own. Until she feels secure and trusts her new family, keeping her on a slip lead when going into a fenced backyard is recommended to help prevent any attempts to wander off.

Meeka is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/6/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and 11:00am. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
