Margot *Arriving 10/24* D12753 - Beagle and Terrier Dog for Adoption

Hi there! I'm Margot, a 5-year-old Beagle/Terrier mix with a soft heart and a shy side. I'm not the kind of girl who rushes into friendships. I need about 5 to 7 days to feel comfortable with new people, so I'm hoping to find a patient person who will let me blossom at my own pace. But once I trust you, I promise I'm a wonderful little companion!
My ideal home is a peaceful place where I can enjoy the simple things in life, like lounging by your side, curling up in your lap, and soaking up all the snuggles. I can be a little anxious sometimes, and having a confident, calm dog friend helps me feel safe. A quieter home without lots of people coming and going would be just my speed. Young children and busy households might be a bit overwhelming for me, so I'd love a calm home with kind humans who understand that the best friendships take time.
I'm crate trained and happily head to my crate when asked because it's my own cozy safe space. I'm still working on my potty training and leash-walking skills, so I'll need a little help learning those ropes. I may bark back when I hear other dogs or people outside, but hey, a girl has to keep an ear on things!

Margot is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 10/24/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30 - 11:30am. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
