Meet Yondu! This 23-pound boy has the energy of someone who has absolutely no interest in slowing down anytime soon. He's playful, curious, social, and always seems to have somewhere to be or something to investigate.
Yondu was found roaming the streets as a stray and ended up at the North Central shelter. Nobody came for him, and with his time running out, we went and got him. When he arrived to us, he had pretty rough skin and quite a few cuts and scrapes on his body, so it was pretty clear that life on the streets hadn't exactly been a walk in the park.
Thankfully, Yondu hasn't let having a rough past get to him in the slightest. He loves other dogs, people, and attention of any kind. He just loves being involved! He's the kind of dog who is genuinely delighted whenever someone comes over to say hello, and if there happens to be another dog nearby who wants to play, even better.
He's also got a wonderfully goofy side. There's a curious little brain working behind those eyes, and Yondu is always interested in whatever is happening around him. He has plenty of energy and would be thrilled to have a person who actually wants to do things with him like walks, exploring, outings, playtime, adventures, all of it.
We're not entirely convinced Yondu is actually 8. Honestly, 5 or 6 might make more sense given how much pep this guy has. But we weren't there to check his birth certificate, so we'll leave that mystery alone. What we do know is that Yondu acts like a dog who has plenty of life to live and absolutely intends to enjoy every minute of it.
