SALLY IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA.

Sally is a Pug/Beagle mix who was found dumped in Cleveland, Texas along with her brother, Jack. She is now safe in foster care and getting the chance to experience what it means to be loved and cared for.

Sally absolutely loves her people. Her favorite place is wherever you are, preferably cuddled up beside you or being held. She also loves playing fetch, getting attention, food and treats, and has a funny habit of using her front paws to playfully bat at your feet.

Sally is spunky, affectionate, playful, goofy, and eager to please. She can still be a little unsure of new things, but she has already made huge progress in foster care. Stairs and jumping from laminate floors were initially intimidating for her, but she is becoming more confident every day.

Sally is doing very well with potty training and has not had any accidents in her foster home. She prefers to go outside and does great when kept on a routine. She may occasionally happy pee when her people come home simply because she is so excited to see them.

Sally is crate trained and settles nicely. She may whimper briefly when her people first leave, but she quickly relaxes and otherwise does very well in her crate.

She is also working on leash manners. Most of the time she walks nicely, but every once in a while she gets a burst of excitement and briefly forgets she is attached to a person. She is learning quickly, and her spontaneous zoom attempts are pretty entertaining.

Sally already knows “sit” and is working on “stay” and “shake.” She is very treat motivated, eager to please, and picks up on new things quickly.

Sally has shown great body language around other dogs and has not shown signs of aggression. She is curious and sometimes clearly wants to play but is still building the confidence to do so. She continues to get more comfortable around other dogs every day.

Sally will be spayed before adoption and is up-to-date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450.

If you’re interested in giving Sally the forever home she deserves, please complete our adoption application linked below. Thank you for considering adoption!
