DESCRIPTION
Edgar is a sweet 6-year-old Poodle weighing around 20 pounds. He can be a bit shy at first when entering new surroundings and meeting new people, as new experiences are still very new to him. In the right home with patience and time, Edgar can build the courage to trust and become more comfortable in his surroundings.
Edgar is dog social and does well when around other dogs. He may do best in a home with another social canine companion who he can turn to for comfort and guidance as he adjusts to his new life.
Edgar is still mastering his leash skills and may benefit from a secure, fenced-in yard while he continues to build his skills and confidence. He is looking for a patient family who will give him the time and understanding he needs to settle in and feel safe.
A meet and greet at the shelter is required to help ensure Edgar and his potential new family are a good fit for one another.
------
Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog. Homes with older children are often a good fit, depending on temperament. To learn more about NMDR and our adoption process, please visit our website.
