DESCRIPTION
Meet Mike!
Mike is an 8-month-old German Shepherd weighing 55 pounds. This sweet, friendly boy loves being around people and is always happy to soak up attention from everyone he meets.
While Mike can be a little nervous when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for his affectionate personality to shine through. With a few kind words, some gentle attention, and maybe a tasty treat or two, he's quick to make new friends.
Mike loves treats and enjoys learning, making him a great candidate for continued training and positive reinforcement. As a young dog, he is looking for a family committed to helping him continue growing into a well-rounded companion through training, socialization, and plenty of positive experiences.
Mike also gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy opportunities to continue making canine friends.
A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for both Mike, any resident dogs, and his potential adopters.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate young dog with a playful spirit and a love for people, Mike may be the perfect addition to your family.
------
Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog. Homes with older children are often a good fit, depending on temperament. To learn more about NMDR and our adoption process, please visit our website.
