Daisy - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Wheeling, Illinois

Daisy is in a foster home, but you can meet her at our adoption event at PetSmart in Mount Prospect (101 E. Euclid Ave.) on Saturday, September 5th, from 10 AM to 12 PM! Please submit an application from our website or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to inquire about her!

Daisy came to us from rural Alabama with her mom Dixie and her sisters Dora, Delilah, Debbie, and Dotty. She has been decompressing in a foster home with her sister Dotty and is loving the extra attention!

Out of all the puppies, Daisy looks the most like her mama! While the rest of the puppies have black coats with their own individual markings, Daisy stands out with her caramel coat and white socks.

Daisy is an affectionate, happy go lucky pup with a 1000 watt smile. She would love a family who is excited to include her in adventures and relaxing evenings at home. She is in a foster home with her sister Dotty, and although she is the bigger sister, her foster describes her as the more passive of the two, preferring the affection of people to battling her sister for treats.

As a puppy, Daisy is still learning the basics; house breaking, which items are OK to chew, and what a leash is for. She would really benefit from puppy classes as well! If you provide this guidance, you will be rewarded with her bright smile for years to come!

Daisy's adoption fee is $450. This animal is spayed/neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.

They will need a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age and a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.

Since she is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
