Bubba - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Wheeling, Illinois

8 month old Bubba came to Heartland after he was found as a stray in Chicago. His fur was in rough shape and he was thin and nervous, so we cleaned him up and got him into a foster home where he could decompress. Since being in a foster home, he has become attached to the teenager in the home and learned to love affection from people! His foster mom writes:

"He loves to sleep in the bedroom with you. He would love it more if he was sleeping right next to you in bed. He loves to sit on your lap and enjoys looking out the window of your car. He enjoys protecting us and being a guard dog when the window curtains are open wide and enjoys barking at people and big dogs. He might even enjoy another brother or sister as a playmate (younger or older but more his size). He isn't crate trained...he would prefer someone who is with him 24/7 and maybe a brother or sister might help so he isn't home alone".

Bubba would love a family where he can continue to learn house and leash manners, build confidence and socialization skills, and be showered with as much love as he gives in return. Have you been looking for a velcro dog? Bubba might be the one for you!

Bubba's adoption fee is $375. This animal is spayed/neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
