Rescue story:
Meet Camilo — A Resilient Soul Still Waiting for His Turn.
Camilo’s journey began with pain—but it didn’t define him. When he was first found in Mexico, Camilo was suffering from severe mange. His skin was inflamed, unbearably itchy, and he needed immediate hospitalization. It was a long road to recovery, filled with treatments, patience, and gentle care. And through it all, Camilo never lost his spirit.
Today, Camilo stands as a beautiful reminder of resilience. Though his past has left a small mark on his face, it only adds to his story—a story of survival, strength, and hope. Camilo has a wonderfully balanced temperament. He’s energetic and playful when it’s time for fun, but also calm and adaptable when it’s time to relax. He’s incredibly social, loves other dogs, and greets the world with confidence and affection. At home, he’s well-behaved and easy to live with—just happy to be near his people. And if there’s one thing that truly lights up his world—it’s his ball. Whether he’s chasing it, carrying it, or proudly showing it off, his ball is his greatest joy and the quickest way to his heart.
But despite everything he’s overcome… Camilo is still waiting. For two long years, he’s watched other dogs leave for their forever homes while he remains behind—hopeful, patient, and ready. Ready to finally be chosen. Ready to finally belong. Camilo doesn’t need perfection—just a family who will love him for who he is, scars and all. In return, he will give you loyalty, joy, and a love that has been waiting far too long to be shared.
