OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Blue is a sweet and slightly shy pup looking for a loving forever home where he can continue to blossom. He has a gentle nature and absolutely adores being around people—so much so that he prefers the comfort of the house and doesn’t enjoy being outside alone.

Inside, Blue is calm, well-behaved, and hasn’t been destructive at all—you’ll hardly know he’s there most of the time. He’s been doing great with housetraining so far, though he may need a little guidance as he settles into a new routine. Blue has a medium energy level, enjoys being brushed, and is okay on a leash, gaining confidence with each walk. He can be a bit timid at first, but once he feels secure (especially with his leash on), his personality starts to shine. He’s good with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, though it’s not a must, and he’s also wonderful with cats—even playful with them!

Blue doesn’t need a yard and would thrive in a home that's in a quieter area (a busy urban urban center may be scary for him) where he can stay close to his people, feel safe, and continue building confidence at his own pace.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
