Foster insights/backstory:
Nisha’s journey is one of quiet resilience and hope. She was found alongside another dog, both severely underweight and struggling to survive in the woods. When she was first brought into rescue, she was understandably frightened—flinching at sudden movements, as if she had learned to expect the worst from people.
But beneath that fear was a heart just waiting to love and be loved.
With patience and kindness, Nisha has begun to blossom. Each day, she grows more comfortable, more trusting, and more curious about the world around her. What’s most remarkable is how much she wants connection—she actively seeks out affection, leaning in for pets and soaking up every bit of love she can get.
Nisha absolutely lights up around other dogs, especially males, and gains confidence from their presence. A playful spirit is emerging too—she’ll break into joyful zoomies outside, showing off her husky energy and zest for life. While she enjoys her outdoor adventures, she also has a softer side and will happily settle in for cuddles, craving that close connection with her person.
Nisha is still learning that she’s safe, that she’s cherished, and that this new life is hers to enjoy—and she’s making incredible progress every single day. She will thrive in a patient, understanding home with another dog to guide her and a secure yard where she can safely explore.
There is something truly special about Nisha. She’s not just beautiful on the outside—she has a gentle, loving soul that, once earned, will be deeply loyal and devoted. Watching her transformation is nothing short of inspiring, and her best days are still ahead of her.
