A Little Peanut Who Deserves So Much More!

-This sweet girl hasn't had the easiest start in life, and it's clear she hasn't always been given the care and comfort she deserves. But despite everything, there is such a gentle, loving soul shining through.

-She walked slowly and cautiously through the halls and was a little timid at first, but when I sat down with her in the yard, she slowly came over to investigate. After some gentle sniffs, she rewarded me with a few sweet kisses. From there, she stayed close, soaking up pets and quietly asking for more with a little nudge or kiss to my hand.

-She is so incredibly sweet and clearly appreciates a good snack! She knows how to sit and takes treats ever so gently.

-And here's the best part: just a couple of days later, this little peanut was already feeling perkier and crawling right into my lap for snuggles. It's amazing what a little comfort, kindness, and feeling better can do.

-She deserves a soft place to land, a full belly, and a life filled with all the love she's been missing. Her past may not have been kind, but we hope her future will be absolutely beautiful.

-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**
